Tree Stump – Pricing
Hey, you know what? We’ve got some of the best prices around. Here’s how it works: we figure out the cost based on the width of the stump right at ground level, how many stumps you’ve got, how deep you want us to grind, and how tricky it is to get to the stump.
First we do charge a flat base rate of $100.00 (and that covers the first stump up to 36 inch), and depending on the size of the stump the price may be adjusted.
Now, to get the most bang for your buck, here’s what you can do:
- Try and cut your stump down to about 10 inches or less. If that’s not something you can manage, no worries. We can totally include that in your quote.
- Ever thought about a “skim grind”? We can, of course, grind the whole underground part of your stump. But, if you’re not planning on building or replanting and just want to make the stump a bit flatter, we can just grind the top part and save you some cash. The only thing is, it might give fungus a chance to set up shop. If you want to know more about this option, we’re all ears.
- Got a whole bunch of stumps? We’ve got special rates for big jobs. We love giving discounts for “bulk” work.
- If you’re over the age of 65, a first-responder, or in the military, we’ve got a 10% discount for you. We like to take care of our folks.
However, if you’ve got a particularly beefy stump that’s over 36 inches, or if there’s a mess of feeder or running roots, we might have to charge a bit extra.
Lastly, if you’re dealing with stumps from trees that have been blown over or uprooted, we’ll need to swing by and check it out ourselves to give an accurate estimate.
How to Measure a Stump
Now, let’s say you’ve got a stump and the ground around it is hilled up a bit.
In that case, we gotta adjust the diameter to include grinding that hump down to the ground level.
Remember, always measure the stump at its widest point.
And if the stump still needs a bit of sawing to get it down to ground level, we’ll have to tack on a fee for that extra work.
